Elise is TWO!

Hard to believe that our baby girl is 2!!  It went so fast--but she is so grown up anymore.  She talks a lot, runs all over, climbs on everything, still adores her baby dolls (putting them in their cradle, pushing them in the stroller, rocking them and singing to them) and loves hanging our with her big brothers!

For her birthday this year, we had family over for an ice cream cone themed party and BBQ.

holding an ice cream cone cupcake!  She loves sweets (of all kinds) and can't wait to eat it!!

Cupcake time!!

Opening Presents--she received lots of clothes and loved it!  She would take each item over to her aunt or grandma to have them hold it.  Ethan part way through says--all her presents are boring...guess boys really don't like and appreciate clothes like girls do!

Fun Facts About Elise at age 2:
-Favorite foods: Cheerios with milk for breakfast (she'll eat a couple small bowls full), strawberries, hot dogs, mac and cheese, chocolate milk--she's a pretty good eater most days
-Favorite show: Clifford the Big Red Dog
-Favorite toys: her baby dolls (and all their accessories--stroller, cradle, blankets, bottles, etc), but she'll also play with the trains or cars too
-Favorite thing at the park: slides and swings!
-loves animals and knows most of their names and the noises they make, and likes watching birds, bunnies and squirrels in our backyard
-loves taking baths and playing with toys and splashing--except she hates having water poured over her head to wash her hair!
-loves when Grant comes home from 1/2 day Kindergarten, because he always gets out juice boxes and snacks for both of them to eat while they watch Curious George
-loves to take pictures on our phones--she will hold it up and say "smile" or "cheese" and snap away!
-enjoys talking about the baby in my tummy and patting it
-loves babies--always wants to tell them hi and be near them (especially if they're in a car seat carrier)...it will be fun to see her interact with our new baby (but I think I'll have to keep a close eye on them!)
-she's our best napper yet (still naps every afternoon for a couple hours), however night-time (getting her to sleep and staying asleep all night) we've been struggling with off and on the last month--hoping we can get those issues resolved quickly!!
-loves music!  This video is one of her favorites to watch

We're so grateful to have our little goofy girl in our lives--she is such a joy!

her she is dressed up to go with Ethan on his zoo field trip (not sure why she thought she needed mittens!)
