Another school year has begun! This year we have 3 kids in school
Ethan is in 4th grade!
Grant is in 2nd grade!
And Elise started preschool! She goes Wed, Thurs and Fri afternoons for 3 hours (to the same preschool the boys went to)--I wasn't sure if I was ready to have her gone 5 days a week yet! I will miss having my helper home with me!
Good thing this cutie is still home!
And...as of the last couple weeks, she's started napping (sometimes) and sleeping at night in her crib (for at least the first few hours!)

Grant turns 7
Grant turned 7 in July! We celebrated with a Dinosaur Birthday this year! It was a lot of fun!
Volcano Birthday Cake--with dinosaur candles!
I've thought of him as a "little" boy for so long--so it's weird to think that he's not all that little anymore. He can be such a great friend to his siblings (loves playing with Ethan and Elise) or he teases and torments the girls and fights with Ethan. He often helps with Audrey. He loves animals--still longing for the time he gets a dog! Legos are still one of his favorite things to play with. Grant is adventurous and not usually afraid to try new things. He loves riding his bike and scooter and making mud pits in parts of my garden! This summer was a bit challenging for him--Ethan has a best friend that he saw almost weekly, so Grant tagged along when he could, or would stay home and play with Elise (they really are good friends playing grocery store or dress-up), and we had friends his age over a couple times; but hopefully over the next year or so, he'll make a close friend or two so he doesn't have to feel left out.
Some things about Grant at age 7:
-favorite color: blue
-favorite book: Ready Freddy books
-favorite movie: Cars
-favorite TV show: Odd Squad
-favorite school subject: science
-favorite foods: pizza, pretzels, spaghetti-o's, tacos, hot dogs
-favorite things to do: play Legos, ride bike/scooter, read
-when he grows up he wants to be: a veterinarian
-friends: Trevor, Hayden, Evan (from school)
We love our Grant!

Magnificent May
I had to take pictures of this crazy hail storm we had at our house!
There was so much it looked like snow! Thankfully no damage at our house.
Cute girl--all ready to go out! She loves wearing skirts and dresses.
For Mother's Day, the kids made me this cute sign on the wall (and breakfast too)! I'm so thankful to be their mother!
The boys did a paint class with some family. Looking good so far!
And the finished paintings
We love Aunt Jocie
Grant showing off one of the last projects of 1st grade--an adjective rainbow for each letter of your name! Grant-great, rowdy, amazing, neat and tough!
