For some odd reason Grant has decided getting up at 6:30 am is fun--which is 1 1/2 hours earlier than his "normal" wake-up time! So of course by evening/dinner time he is a wreck! Maybe we need to adjust dinner/bed-time! Or he could go back to sleeping in until 8. Doesn't he know his mom isn't a morning person?! Especially when I am awakened several times each night by this night-time visitor with an active mind and bad dreams!!

IBS
Last week we had a case of IBS at our house....Irritable Baby Syndrome, that is! (as Jon affectionately named it).

"Bike"-er Boys!
Ethan got a bike from my Uncle Dan (his great-uncle) last fall for his b-day--a big 2 wheel bike (w/ training wheels)! He loves being a big boy and riding it! Although he still sometimes watches his feet rather than looking up to see where he is going!
**disclaimer: these were when he 1st got the bike and we hadn't bought a helmet yet. He always wears it when riding now!**

Easter 2010
This year for Easter we did some of our usual traditions: dyeing Easter eggs

finding baskets at our house,

and the annual egg hunt at grandpa and grandma's house

We also did a few new activities too:

We also did a few new activities too:
An Easter Eve dinner out with Jon's side of the family (forgot my camera that night)
And dyeing eggs with old silk ties--a cool craft from my friends' food blog. We got 4 neat ones this year--next year we will know to use dark colored ties (the colors seem to fade), make sure the ties are silk (a couple weren't marked, so we were just hoping they were), and find a new technique for wrapping the silk very tightly around the eggs.

Overall it was a great day spent with family and remembering the miracle of Easter--the resurrection of Christ!

Spring Break
Ethan and I had different weeks of spring break...but we still enjoyed a few activities during break!

It was the boys' first time going. And Ethan loved it!! He figured out how to hang on and would even carry his sled back up the hill. Grant wasn't so sure about it! In fact the 2nd time we went, he just napped in the car!
We also met some friends at Hammond's Candy Factory and took their free tour! The kids enjoyed it--especially the sample!
Of course plenty of playing at home--including building massive train tracks!
And Ethan ended his spring break going to the Rapid's home opener soccer game with Jon, Uncle Joe and Preston! (Another 1st for Ethan) I heard they had a great time and Ethan was quite the fan entertaining everyone around them!
Like sledding (we found a great hill and went twice during my spring break week):
