Look who's 3!

Elise had her golden birthday--turning 3 on the 3rd!!  She is such a fun girl--sometimes so sweet and easy going, she is definitely the little momma--helping out, bossing her brothers around, and at times her "dragon"--strong, fiesty personality comes through!  (We call her the dragon lady because she was born in the Chinse Year of the Dragon).

She was so excited about her birthday, kept asking when family was coming over for her party--this was on the night of her b-day having some b-day cookies!

Elise at age 3:
-favorite color: pink
-favorite book: Princess Baby Night-Night, I'm a Big Sister, or Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed
-favorite animal: kitty cats and giraffes
-favorite movie: Winnie the Pooh (but also likes Princess movies)
-favorite foods: cookies, mac & cheese, pizza, hot dogs, fruit snacks
-favorite song: Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
-favorite toy: dollies (and the stroller, diaper bags, etc) or stuffed animals
-friends: Brooklynn, Isaac, Chad and her brothers and sister

Elise is a girly-girl!  She loves to shop, loves make-up (particularly lip gloss/chapstick), loves shoes and purses.  She enjoys dressing up in costumes, especially princess dresses.  She likes to sing as she plays or runs around.  She doesn't nap anymore (if she does, then she won't go to bed until after 10), but we successfully transitioned her into a big-girl twin bed in January.  She likes Jon (and not me, unless he's gone) to lay in bed with her until she falls asleep, and will occasionally come into our room in the middle of the night dragging her pillow and blankets to sleep on our floor.  She is such a daddy's girl--picks Jon over me for helping her with anything.  When she's having a hard day, she'll ask for him and want me to call him.  We also successfully potty-trained her in the last year--she was easier than her brothers--and only has the occasional accident.  What a fun year it has been with this girl!  And exciting to have her talking more and more and going from a toddler to a little girl!
