Class Field Trips

The kids have had some fun field trips so far this year. And I've been able to chaperone most of them.
At Barr Lake, Ethan was able to watch them do bird-banding. (The bird is in her hand)
They put the little birds in these tubes upside down to weigh them

Another Ethan field trip to the Rocky Mtn Wildlife Refuge (his school has a parks and wildlife grant that pays for 4th graders to do a number of field trips to teach kids about environmental education programs and outdoor locations in CO)

And Ethan was elected to be a student leadership representative for his class so he was able to march in the homecoming parade

Elise's preschool went to a farm where we picked lots of veggies to take home!

And Grant's class went to the Butterfly Pavillion
