How we spent our summer 2014 (pt 1--around town)

SUMMER--so much fun-lots of spending time with family, sleeping in, no homework, exciting activities...but it's also a bit hectic and crazy, especially now having 4 kids and having a summer jam-packed with stuff to do!  I so look forward to summer starting and thinking of all that we can do together over our long break--but by the beginning of August, I start to look forward to school...the routine and (I'll be honest) that break from my kids (2 of them at least--and if the stars align and the girls happen to both nap at the same time, it's even better!).

Here are some of the highlights from our summer--fun times at home and around town:

Checking out the fire trucks at the city's culturefest

Grant doing pull-ups at the Army booth

Pony rides at the Culture Fest

Reading books with Uncle Jake

Playing at the library

More fun at the library's new outside area

A new grocery store was opened near us and had a grand opening event with the Oscar Meyer weinermobile there!

Using our body as a canvas for our art!

Science experiments with Dad!

Sun art prints they made at the library

Celebrating Grandpa's 60th bday

Painting--or more of using our body as a canvas?
