How we spent our Summer 2014--pt 3 (T-ball/Swim team)

Grant played T-ball this summer through our Rec Center.  He liked hitting the ball!  But I think a lot of the game was too slow for him!  He also liked having a large cheering section (on one occasion--both sets of grandparents, a great grandma, 2 uncles, 2 aunts, and a cousin--in addition to our family!)

This summer Ethan swam on a swim team.  He loved the competitiveness of it!  And he's got some speed!  At his 1st meet, he got a blue ribbon for his 25 yd freestyle and red (2nd place) in 50 yd free and 25 yd backstroke.  He also swam in team relays as well (usually as the free-style anchor).

In his 2nd swim meet, he took 1st place in 25 yd free-style (with a faster time), 50 yd free, and 100 yd IM (individual medley--swimming each stroke for one lap), and a 2nd place in 25 yd backstroke.

He liked it so well, he's planning to swim on the swim team again this fall!
