Back to School 2013

It's already that time again!

 Ethan is in 2nd grade this year!  So far he loves his teacher and thinks she is so funny.  He is excited to have recess and is also looking forward to math, science and computers. 

 

 

Grant started Kindergarten this year--he does half-days in the mornings! He is excited to be at the same school as Ethan.  His teacher was a student teacher Ethan's kindergarten year--so we know her and like her.  He's a bit apprehensive about homework, but excited to be a "big" boy at the "big school." 

 

No tears from this mom (or kids) about back to school!  After the constant fighting and pestering each other towards the end of summer (and my escalating frustration and yelling due to said fighting), I knew we could all use a few hours break from each other! 

 

I plan to volunteer once a week in their classrooms again--this year have to split my time between both rooms though (while Elise is with Grandma and Grandpa).  I went into E's room on Monday and was given the tasks of grading spelling pre-tests and filling book bags each week (each week they are given a couple books from the teacher's "library" that are at their reading level to read at home)!
